4. Input your name as you want it to show up in outgoing email, input your complete email address as your username, and then your password. Don’t forget to put a check on the “save password” box so you won’t be asked for your password every time you download your email. Click “next” at the bottom when you’re done.
5. Pick POP3 as the account type from the drop-down menu, and then type in the name of this account (to identify it from you other email accounts in Pocket Outlook). Tap “next” at the bottom.
6. The next screen is where you type in your server details. If you went through autoconfiguration successfully, chances are the blanks will be automatically populated. If you set up the account manually, here are the things you need to type. In the “incoming mail” blank, type pop.gmail.com:995 and in the “outgoing mail” blank, type smtp.gmail.com:465. Leave the domain field empty, and then tap on the Options button

The first window lets you choose how often you would like Pocket Outlook to connect to the Gmail server to send and receive email, and which connection type to use. Uncheck this option if you want to send and receive email on demand.
8. The second option page lets your Pocket Outlook display email messages from a specific number of days. This is also where you configure whether you would require SSL connection (leave checked), whether sending outgoing mail would require authentication (leave checked) and whether you would need different credentials for outgoing mail (leave “use separate settings” unchecked. For different email accounts, you may need to adjust these settings in order to properly send outgoing messages.
9. Finally, the last page of the options window lets you choose whether to download only the headers of your email or the full email each time you connect to the mail servers. This is particularly useful when you are on a kilobyte-based data plan.
